I did my graduate research in the Landick lab on the transcript elongation factors s70 and NusG (Ph.D. 2007). In my current work as a scientist in the lab, I am working on understanding mechanisms of transcriptional pausing by RNA polymerase, how regulators can alter polymerase’s response to pause signals, and how pausing and regulator action differ between species.
